Welcome to Alpaca Picnic.. where you will find happy & healthy alpacas at our family run farm in County Durham.

Coming from a more traditional farming background, we have over 18 years of useful experience in crop cultivation, rearing calves, keeping store cattle, horses and hens here at the farm. 

Fairly new to the world of alpaca, we started our amazing journey in March 2020 having first visited various alpaca farms. We met lots of adorable animals, some helpful people and we soon got a good idea of how it would all work.

In May 2020 our wonderful herd of 4 ladies arrived – Isla, Pur, Kiki and Blossom. And that is where our journey begun..

We have been adapting and developing our knowledge in looking after these fascinating creatures ever since. 

Our alpacas are registered with the British Alpaca Society and our herd continues to expand and grow year on year.
